I rose in the morning hoping the sun will shine, / The Barkhor filled with bright prospects
I became motionless, / When the shadow of a ghost appeared. / My heartbeat has slowed,
If you only drag me out / I’ll accept all your accusations / And sign the confession documents.
A dark fog / wrapped itself around Lhasa
Life threatened / Separated / By the devils hand
The train arrives, a mammoth of shadow, / A dark and slow-moving train;
I dream the / way my / people do always
a man / devoid of limps / lying on the ground
Forget him not / A little creature / Caged within his prison
Darkness descends / From the sky / Ere sunset
I draw the highway to heaven / beneath the shade of hell
Poem by Tsoltim N Shakabpa: I cry, in sorrow, / For those who / Would give up the light
Silent foreboding behind prison’s door / shadows of the willow scatter across your pillow
When my bamboo flute’s / Sound was deep
Poem by Tsoltim N Shakabpa: Lest no man knows better / Know ye all / That Tibet is a country
Around the natural tower, we travel / And we climb on the pillar of life.
When my father left his body / I inherited a wooden cup
May your life be firmer than the rock, / May your life be longer than the longest river,
They were in full foliage / The dandelions of Tibet, / When the hail stormed
Since I lost the hiking trail / I sat under a virgin spruce tree
